Galiano Island Vacation

Beautiful Cottage on Cain Beach.

Galiano Island is a great place to go for a vacation. The city of Vancouver, British Columbia is just 25 miles away, making the wonders and conveniences of modern city life easily accessible. Alternatively, the city of Seattle is about 100 miles away, making Galiano Island a great place to spend a few days after experiencing the Big City. Also, Galiano Island is located in the Straight of Georgia, with water access to Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean.

But a Galiano Island vacation has more to offer than just its proximity to other fascinating places. As an island there is the full range of water activities available.

There are several beautiful beaches that you can visit. Great for a family picnic, games, swimming, or just sitting back and relaxing in the sun.
Kayaks are a great way to explore the waters around the island. Experience a nice leasurely time poking around where-ever you want to go.
SCUBA Diving will let you explore under the water rather than playing around on top of it.
For those of us who are a bit less energetic, there are powered boats available for play, touring around the island, fishing, or just enjoying the ocean.

You do not need to spend all of your time on the water though, as there is plenty to do on solid ground as well.

The island is covered in natural forests that abound with wildlife. It is not uncommon to see animals such as deer, fox, beaver, and eagles in your time on the island.
There are multiple scenic parks, where you can see the finest that nature has to offer on Galiano Island
The Island is also spider-webbed with a network of hiking trails, both in the parks and out, that will allow you to visit locations that you would otherwise not be able to reach.
As a novel way of getting around, there are several establishements with bicycle rentals available.
There are also guided tours of the island, on foot, by bicycle, or motor-vehicle.

As an alternative to all these nature activities, the island has an excellent Spa, a golf course, and several fine restaurants for your enjoyment.

We have a variet of places to stay for your next vacation.
